Concerts On The Square

Concerts on the Square® will celebrate its 25th season in 2008! The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, led by Maestro Andrew Sewell, will perform six consecutive Wednesday evenings:

June 25 - Gershwin and Friends, Wendy Chen, piano
July 2 - Salute to America, Hong-En Chen, piano
July 9 - Sound the Trumpet, Ryan Anthony, trumpet
July 16 - Songs without Words, Huw Edwards, conductor; Kathryn Nettleman, bass
July 23 - String Fusion, Time for Three, string trio
July 30 - Our Town, A 25th Anniversary celebration

Bring a picnic (or patronize one of the vendors), spread your blanket, and enjoy fine music in a beautiful setting. As the concert unfolds, savor the magical lighting of the setting sun on the State Capitol.

Frontiers men who want to attend Concerts on the Square as a group, should meet at the Shamrock anytime from 5:15 to 6:15 on Wednesdays. Then we will go as a group at about 6:15 to find a spot on the grass. (Maybe someone will have placed a blanket ahead of time?). Then we could buy dinner or bring our own, or snacks to share, etc. The concerts start at 7:00 pm.
