OutReach will be celebrating both its 16th Annual Awards Banquet and its 35th year serving Madison and South Central Wisconsin.

The OutReach Award Banquet is a prestigious event and an opportunity for Madison to recognize the individuals and groups that have made outstanding contributions to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) communities. Awards are presented to the Woman, Man, Organization, Ally and OutReach Volunteer of the Year, as well as possible awards for Lifetime Achievement/Courage Award.

The event is always a moving one, as our community’s “unsung heroes” are recognized for their remarkable contributions behind the scenes. The acceptance speeches have never failed to move those in attendance to both laughter and tears, as the award recipients share their remarkable stories.
